Zirconia crowns and bridges
High-strength zirconia crowns and bridges, milled from your scan and finished by hand. Monolithic for durability, or layered with porcelain where appearance matters most.

What it is
Zirconia (zirconium dioxide) is a high-strength ceramic. We design each restoration in CAD software from your scan or impression, mill it from a zirconia blank, then sinter, shade and glaze it before a technician checks the fit, contacts and occlusion.
When to choose it
- Posterior crowns, where strength under chewing load matters most.
- Multi-unit bridges, including posterior spans.
- Patients who grind or clench, using monolithic zirconia.
- Implant crowns and bridges on titanium bases or custom abutments.
- Teeth with limited occlusal clearance, where a thinner restoration is needed.
Monolithic or layered
Monolithic zirconia is made in one solid piece, which resists chipping and suits back teeth. Layered zirconia adds hand-built porcelain over a zirconia core for more depth and translucency in the aesthetic zone. Multilayer zirconia, with a shade gradient built into the blank, gives a natural look in a monolithic restoration.
What to send us
- A scan or impression with a clear margin
- The opposing arch and bite
- The shade, plus a shade-tab photo for anterior work
- Monolithic or layered preference on the RX form
Frequently asked questions
Can zirconia be used for front teeth?
Yes. Layered or multilayer zirconia gives a natural appearance on front teeth, although E.max is often preferred where maximum translucency is needed.
Is zirconia suitable for patients who grind?
Monolithic zirconia is a good choice for patients who grind or clench because it resists chipping. A night splint is still often recommended to protect the restoration.
